NECA Generosity

Featured Member Benefit

Charitable Recipients
Since 2003, as a result of the NECA golf outing, we have donated $67,835.00 to various charities including Boston Childrens Hospital, Make-A-Wish, and the Boys and Girls Club of Providence. We ask our members to suggest deserving non-profit organizations and these suggestions are reviewed by the NECA Board of Directors.

Last year and again this year, we provided support to NEADS, a non-profit that provides
the wonderful gift of a service dog to those in need, including children, vets, and people with a disability. In 2016, we were able to sponsor training for two pups, named Snowy and Storm, from the very generous support of our sponsors and golfers.

In 2011, recognizing the increasing cost of post secondary education, NECA developed a scholarship program to assist its members. The program is self-funding through money raised at dinner meetings and the golf outing, and in some years, we have able to award 2 or more scholarships.
